Sometimes change happens to us.
Sometimes it happens around us.
Sometimes it happens in spite of us.
Sometimes we seize the moment,
and sometimes we’re too late.
Since the onset of the pandemic in 2019
the whole world seems to shudder with unease.
Many felt this change through the loss of friends, family, and livelihoods.
Meanwhile, civil unrest and global warming
picked up their perilous and paralyzing pace.
As we make our way through this uncertainty let us be mindful of the mystery, tragedy
and improbable beauty of our time, some of which I sought to capture in these works.
