Shattered, 2020 | oil on linen | 36 x 58 inches | INQUIRE
Looking back through the lens of the 1950’s
we see a man in an Hermès tie and colorful shirt
being his authentic self.
The shattered window next to him reminds us that being different
sometimes comes with a terrible cost in a black and white world.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I depict difficult and sometimes controversial subjects in my work, from suicide to environmental destruction. This exhibition is no exception as it explores fear and hatred of what we do not understand, the loss of things and people we love, and the quiet death of our environment.
