Kouri + Corrao Opens Pop-up

SANTA FE, NM — June 29, 2021 — Fritz + Kouri is pleased announce that it has welcomed Michael Corrao as a partner and rebranded as Kouri + Corrao Gallery. The Santa Fe, New Mexico-based contemporary gallery will premiere its first summer show on July 9, 2021, featuring an accomplished group of diverse artists at an industrial warehouse popup space at 3213 Calle Marie, in the Siler Rufina Nexus in Santa Fe.

Earlier this year, Mr. Corrao acquired minority shareholder Deborah Fritz’s portion of the gallery partnership. Ms. Fritz will continue to focus on her two galleries and other endeavors.

Kouri + Corrao Gallery will maintain its representation of a culturally diverse and innovative group of emerging and mid-career artists who push the boundaries of various mediums while thoughtfully addressing poignant contemporary issues.

“I am thrilled to join an incredible and vastly talented group of artists, and to continue elevating their visibility and work to institutions and collectors around the world,” said Mr. Corrao.

Kouri + Corrao Gallery will open with an inaugural group exhibition titled (Re)Opened on July 9, featuring works by Amanda Banker, Susanna Carlisle & Bruce Hamilton, Paula Castillo, Gary Goldberg, Thomas Christopher Haag, Jeff Krueger, Tina Mion and Jen Pack. Solo shows in the space by Raven Halfmoon, Amanda Banker and Thomas Christopher Haag will follow later in the year.

“We are eager to share physical space and exciting new pieces from our cadre of artists,” said Mr. Kouri. “As we collectively navigate a reemergence from the pandemic, this new space in Santa Fe and body of work represents a hopeful new beginning.”

Accompanying the gallery rebrand and strengthening its international presence, Kouri + Corrao Gallery’s new website, kouricorrao.com, launches on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
